Miranda Rights question?

ok so as I understand it if the police come to your house and ask you questions that ok. But as soon as your movement is restricted such as they put you in handcuffs they tell you to stand right here and don't move as they try to question someone else that's called being in police custody. as soon as that happends I the police soon read me the miranda warning before asking me anymore questions right so I know not to incriminate myself.
