Traffic ticket- "no headlights", same as driving without headlights? also some legal help? (texas)?
I think the officer may have written the wrong (code?) on my citation. He wrote "no headlights" which I think means that you don't have headlights that work. I have headlights, they just weren't turned on. If this is the case could I fight that ticket in court? If i fought this in court and the judge was to ask, "why would he give you this ticket when you had headlights?" Should I be honest and say I think he meant to give me a ticket for not having them turned on or should I say something like "I don't want to incriminate myself." I also got a 2nd ticket for driving without insurance. He wrote no MVI which is motor vehicle inspection. I had inspection. I think I will be taking that one to court. I had insurance, for the record, I just didn't have it on me when I got pulled over.
